Terms of Use
Last updated 10 October 2026 (version 2026-10-10)
Dtour ("Dtour", "we", "us") lets people who live in a city share the places they actually recommend, and lets everyone else find them. These terms are an agreement between you and Dtour. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Dtour.
1. Who can use Dtour
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must give accurate sign-up details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person, one account. You can't use Dtour if we've previously suspended you, or if the law forbids it.
2. Community rules: zero tolerance
Dtour only works if people can trust what they read. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post, upload or send anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone, or is hateful towards people based on religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic;
- is sexually explicit, violent, graphic, or involves minors in any harmful way;
- promotes illegal activity, self-harm, drugs, weapons or terrorism;
- is fake: reviews of places you haven't been to, recommendations you were paid for without saying so, impersonating someone, or spam;
- shares someone else's personal information (phone numbers, addresses, photos of private people) without their consent;
- infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- contains malware, or tries to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
3. Reporting, blocking and enforcement
- You can report any recommendation, note or person from the flag in the app, and block anyone. Blocking hides your content and profiles from each other.
- Content reported by several people is hidden automatically until we review it. We review reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours: we remove it and, where appropriate, suspend or permanently remove the account that posted it.
- We may remove any content or suspend any account that breaks these terms or the law, with or without notice.
4. Your content
- You own what you post (recommendations, photos, notes and reviews). You're responsible for it and confirm you have the right to post it.
- You give Dtour a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for example resize a photo or show an excerpt) and distribute your content in the app, on share links such as dtour.co.in/place/…, and in promoting Dtour. The licence ends when you delete the content, except where it has been shared by others or must be kept by law.
- If you delete your account, recommendations and notes you published stay visible as "Former local", without your name or photo, because other people's upvotes, comments and the places depend on them. You can delete individual posts before deleting your account.
- Recommendations are personal opinions of locals, not advice or endorsements by Dtour. Opening hours, prices, safety and accessibility can change. Visit places at your own judgement and risk.
5. Dtour's service
- We may change, pause or stop features (including ones marked "coming soon") at any time.
- Place details may come from Google Maps and photos from Google or other users; they belong to their owners.
- Dtour is free to use. We don't sell your personal data and we don't show ads.
6. Disclaimers and liability
Dtour is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the accuracy of content, availability of the service, or the places recommended, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens at a place you found through Dtour. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Indian law.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Me → Delete account) or as described on dtour.co.in/account-deletion. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
8. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [CITY] have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer.
9. Changes
We'll update this page when the terms change and ask you to agree again in the app for significant changes.
10. Contact and grievances
Questions: [email protected]. Grievance Officer (Information Technology Rules, 2021): [NAME], [email protected]. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
